Jon Kingdon Has Left Sub.tv

Jon Kingdon has left Sub.tv to take up a position at Apple. Jon was instrumental in the set up and subsequent growth of Sub.tv and leaves with our thanks and best wishes.

Bluetooth – extended to 30 sites

Following last years positive results Sub.tv has decided to widen the interactive bluetooth network from 12 sites to 30 sites.

New Music Site

The Sub.tv music team have been working hard on the brand new website which is being launched on Tuesday 7th Octoberwww.subtvmusic.com

The website is a place to explore new talent on a local and a national scale through recommendations from people who are in the know when it comes to new music. These people are called tastemakers.

In tandem with the Music site we are also launching the new Subtv Sports site on Tuesday 7th October www.subtvsports.com

Students from across the country will be able to log on and view content from student extreme sports events and our other student media partners which include the British University Snowsports Council, Uniwake, Student Kitesurfing Association, Student Brakeaway Rally and I Love Tour

Union Panel Meetings

After last years success Sub.tv will continue running the union panels this term. It is a great way to meet everyone face to face and discuss Sub.tv past, present and future. Last year Cardiff, Surrey, Leeds and Heriot-Watt SU hosted panels. The next one will be held in the midlands region.

Sub.tv Exclusivity and your Union

 There have been a few recent incidents of non Sub.tv screens being installed in the unions. When signing the contract you granted Sub.tv exclusivity with regards to audio visual displays within your unions. The strength of this contract has enabled us to build Sub.tv as it is today and allowed us to provide significant revenues to Student Unions over the last few years.

Sub.tv Info Network Update

In an exciting addition to the services offered by Subtv we are now promoting Sub.tv Info. Still focused on the student whilst they are on campus this new system provides a digital signage solution to the University’s communication needs.

Subtv is looking to work with the Student Unions in an effort to integrate the cross campus digital communications in with the existing Subtv network and further extend the Unions ability to reach every one of their student customers.
